The National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday slapped a toll on the import of cellphones through Finance Bill 2022-23, ARY News detailed.
The house passed the money bill 2022-23 introduced by Minister of State for Finance Ayisha Ghous Pasha in its meeting.
All financial plan recommendations from the resistance individuals were dismissed with a greater part vote.
As indicated by the Finance Bill, there will be a portable handset demand at the rates determined on cell phones of various cost classifications.
According to the bill, there will be a duty of Rs100 per set on a cellphone with cost and cargo (C&F) worth of up to $30. The pace of duty per set on cell phones having a C&F esteem somewhere in the range of $30 and $100 will be Rs 200.
Essentially, the pace of duty on the import of per set having a C&F esteem somewhere in the range of $201 and $350 will be Rs1,800. The pace of duty per set on cell phones having a C&F esteem somewhere in the range of $351 and $500 will be Rs4,000.
