As constant raise in power tax is hitting purchasers no matter how you look at it, General Headquarters (GQH) through Ministry of Defense (MoD) has moved toward National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for 50% refund to Commissioned Officers on power charges, all around informed sources in NEPRA told.

This solicitation was despatched by the GHQ, Quarter Master General Branch, Director Works and Chief Engineer (DG&CE) Army.

The correspondence says that the discount on power charges for Army Officers was fixed by the GoP @ 25% in 1985.

The discount was amended @ half on power units consumed vide SRO No. (1)/96. Be that as it may, different charges/charges, as told now and again, are needed to be settled completely by the Officers in according to rates referenced in timetable of power levy for ex-Wapda Companies compelling from August 13, 2002.
