The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has firmly gone against any transition to raise 17% General Sales Tax (GST) on import of PCs and embellishments contending that the move would seriously affect the development of the IT area and the maturing send out industry in early stages.
"Assuming the public authority pushes forward with the burden of GST at the standard pace of 17% on import of PCs, PCs, and its others extras it would contrarily affect outsourcing, IT commodities and PM's Vision to make Digital Pakistan," high ranking representative wellsprings of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) said.
The authority sources said the approach move would be against the soul of PM's Vision to make Digital Pakistan and then again, the public authority would build input cost of important apparatuses making it hard for specialists and people to buy PCs, PCs, and extras.
